ABOUT DR. STEVEN BARNETT
Born and raised in a small town just outside of Marion, Illinois, Dr. Barnett graduated from Marion High School in 1976. He was recruited to play baseball at John A. Logan College, Carterville, Illinois, where he earned his Associate degree in 1978. Two years later, he earned his bachelor's degree in biological science from Southern Illinois University.
Dr. Barnett married his high school sweetheart, Beresa Kelly, in 1979 and then graduated as the father of two girls with honors as the salutatorian of the 1984 class from the University of Missouri School of Optometry. Beresa Kelly, also from Marion, is an interior decorator who owns her own business, Beaux Arts. They have three girls, Tara, Erica, and Taylor.
Dr. Barnett enjoys spending time with his family, going to church, going hunting, fishing, and painting wildlife. He is a dedicated deacon, husband, father, and doctor who has a passion for serving Christ and others.

ABOUT DR. TAYLOR BARNETT
A Sikeston, Missouri, native, Dr. Taylor Barnett received a Bachelor of Science from Southeast Missouri State University. She then went on to attend optometry school at the University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL) where she graduated with honors as a Doctor of Optometry.
While in optometry school she worked as an intern at clinics specializing in ocular disease, LASIK/cataract evaluations and follow up, and contact lenses.
She is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), Missouri Optometric Association (MOA), and American Academy of Optometry (AAO).

COURTNEY
Optician and Optical Manager
Courtney joined Barnett Family Eye Care in 2004 after she spent 3 years at Kies Eye Center in Cape Girardeau. Courtney is a natural optimist who enjoys helping people look and feel better. At Barnett Family Eye Care, you will find her educating patients on which lenses best optimize their vision, which lenses protect their eyes, and which frames will best fit their lifestyle and personality.
Courtney is proud to promote a practice that works diligently to provide superior care. Courtney also enjoys anything outdoors and spending time with her Irish Doodle; Sully.
JANET
Technician
Janet began her career with Barnett Family Eye Care as an optometrist technician in 2010. She is responsible for the pre-testing of patients for preparation of their examination with the doctors. Janet also administers any additional in-office testing such as Visual Fields, Optomap, OCT scans and the ordering of contact lenses.
Allyson
Optician
Allyson is a 2018 graduate of New Madrid County Central. She worked as an Optician at the Walmart Vision Center in Sikeston for 4.5 years before joining our team in March of 2022.
She enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter and being outdoors.
SHARON
Insurance Coordinator
Sharon is a graduate from Dexter High School. She is the insurance and billing coordinator for Barnett Family Eye Care. Prior to joining our team in October 2017, Sharon worked in a medical billing office for over 13 years.
Sharon resides in Dexter and enjoys spending time with her husband, Dave, and their furbaby, Gibson.
HAIDEN
Optometrist Technician
Haiden is a graduate of Dogwood Christian Academy.
As an Optometrist Technician, Haiden is responsible for pre-testing patients to prepare them for their examination with the doctors. She also administers any additional in-office testing such as Visual fields, Optomap, and OCT scans.
When not at work, Haiden enjoys spending time with her family and her significant other, Darren.
